Dan's musical journey began at a young age. Being interested in music from middle school age, he began playing guitar in his early teens, and playing at church not long after. A couple years later, he picked up bass guitar and played actively with guitar and bass through high school.

In college Dan studied music, majoring in guitar and voice. While in college, he played and gigged with various musical groups varying from fusion, rock, and jazz, to bluegrass, country and comedy. Throughout that period, Dan did session work, and recorded several projects with previously mentioned groups. At the same time he also was doing orchestral work and doing pit orchestra work for production companies from community to semi-professional level.

Currently, you will find Dan playing with comedy/bluegrass group "The High D Boys", and top 40's cover/rock band "Under Construction". In his extra time, Dan still continues to play and participate in musical projects, session work, church, giving lessons and anything else that will allow him to be challenged and grow in education, skill and love of music.
